IT'S TIME TO LEAVE THE GREEN ROOM

When the so-called COVID-19 pandemic caught us by surprise, one of the first things “The Controllers” did was to lockdown and lock away the segment of the U.S. population they labeled as the “vulnerables”—the advanced in age. Not to isolate them because they had the illness, but supposedly for their “protection.” I identify with these victims. I'm a senior citizen. We were assured that we were “put out to pasture” for our good.

At first, we didn't realize who The Controllers were, nor their intentions. But in no time at all, they exposed themselves as the radical, political Left, those in leadership in the White House. For the sake of this writing, I'm calling them The Controllers. We soon found that our pasture-isolation was not green and lush. They sequestered us to keep us silent, masked our mouths, and warned us to keep our distance and remain uninvolved while society's RESET was getting a start.

Evil spiritual forces are behind The Controllers targeting us as a “throw-away” generation of has-beens who need to be stifled. Their agenda is exposed and continues—to eliminate all the wisdom-seasoned retired Christian folks along with all other calendar-challenged seniors, no matter how prominently and admirably they served in their prime in academia or professional life or contributed to the common good. We stood in their way as they attempted the total destruction/reconstruction of global;l society.

We can compare our friendly “house arrest” period to being in what the entertainment world calls The Green Room. In “live” theater performances on Broadway, on TV, or in similar venues, the Green Room is a designated location adjacent to the stage used as a waiting room and lounge. The time is specifically set aside for performers or speakers or people to be interviewed to hang out before their turn comes. They are being briefed and prepared for the rules to be followed when on stage. Modern TV Green Rooms are places to chill or warm up, whichever is needed, before their time on camera. The rooms are usually equipped with “live” TV monitors on which those waiting can observe the performance of someone on stage preceding them.

By confining us vulnerables to our private Green Rooms, our wider influence seemed to be cancelled. They separated us from family and support relationships, from face-to-face worship, and from fruitful ministry. The Controllers never really intended to allow us to have our turn on stage. It has been part of their deliberate deceit. They sought to destroy our Constitutional freedoms, historic legacy, and Christian faith and witness in one fell swoop. Nevertheless, many of us survived the soft internment and are awaiting our God-planned due date and the incredible opportunity that lies ahead on stage.

We can't be silenced by accident, or without our consent, by government mandates, or even imprisonment. Since Christ is in us, wherever we go, Jesus is present. God helping us, we can find ways to make our righteous and godly witness known in our sphere of influence. God is working behind the scenes. He has a purpose for each of our lives, no matter how young or how old we are. God's great Kingdom plan is swiftly beginning to be revealed. The trumpets of prophecy are blowing on key, and the return of the King is drawing nearer. Let us thwart the devil's plan against our senior generation and seriously prepare ourselves for what could be our finest hour of witness when we leave our Green Room.

God planned that unwanted-at-the-time cloistered period to give us vulnerables a slice of time to earnestly seek His face and His will for whatever part He has chosen for us on the new stage of history. We should be ready by now. It will be in a different world than the comfort zone of life we experienced before Covid. God has unfinished plans for us.

Our new normal is likely to be a massive paradigm shift. We may soon be called to center stage as actors to play roles for which God is even now preparing us. They may be different, unfamiliar parts that we have not rehearsed. In God's new drama, He may require us to wear different costumes from those we wore before. He'll call forth angels from His Heavenly wardrobe department to provide those. The background scenery will have changed. The supporting cast may surprise us. We may have to learn new meanings for our words from a script with which we are unacquainted. But since we know the Master Producer well, we trust Him with the final glorious production.

When we step out of our Green Room, we will no longer wear masks in social interaction, as we were obliged to. Unmasked, we will know who The Controllers really are. Will we be recognized for Whose we are? That we openly belong to Jesus Christ our Lord? We will reveal by our actions of love and justice who we are in Christ. It is high time for each of us to courageously take a stand for righteousness as God defines it. Good is not evil and evil is not good. Falsehood and Truth cannot be mistaken one for the other.

The bright stage lights will be focused on the people of God who remain—the sifted, faithful remnant. “Your old men [and women] shall dream dreams and your young men see visions” (Joel 2:28). The world will be watching how we respond to whatever the new conditions will be. Will we offer the world wisdom that we garnered from our long experience through many troubled times under the guidance of God?

A fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit is available to us, (Psalm 92:10) should we choose to receive it. It is sufficient to give us abundant spiritual strength for our latter years and ample provision of all else we need, including the words of witness God will supply. We must be prepared to encounter the new, massive paradigm shift that witnessing for Christ will demand when face-to-face with the New Order.

God gave our older generation sufficient time in our Green Rooms to grow closer to Him, to build ourselves up in the Word of God, to wait in His presence, and to nurture our souls. As senior saints, we may feel drowsy with a tendency to nod off as did both the wise and foolish bridesmaids as they awaited the coming of the Bridegroom. (Parable in Matthew 25) But God is giving us the time to buy and stock up on sufficient Oil and trim our lamps for the time when our shining light will be needed to pierce the coming darkness. Let's ask for the help we need: Lord, fill us up with the Oil of anointing. Top it off. Let it overflow!

God still needs us in His grand plan! He may be preparing us to help the “green, young understudies” with our seasoned wisdom and compassion. God is providing us with Green Pasture time (Psalm 23) beside the still waters to restore our souls, to be renewed from the weariness that so easily besets us because of the length of our life journey. God expects us to continue “yielding fruit in old age and to be full of sap and very green, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my Rock and there is no unrighteousness in Him” (Psalm 92:14,15).

Our calm and peaceful Green Room days, our sheltered-in-place at home and our warming-up have been like a temporary Greenhouse to grow nutritious, spiritual produce in a safe, protected, artificial environment at an accelerated pace—for future need. In this Greenhouse, we can nurture with prayer and the energizing of the Holy Spirit a crop of fresh plantings of ideas and ways to be shining lights for Jesus in the new and unprecedented opportunities we will face.

We have been watching The Controllers, “the present actors” on the TV monitor in our Green Room. We have seen their inept, bungling, devilish, deceitful ways and dangerous performances that are negatively affecting the entire global community. Let's be aware that our shining moment as part of God's Righteousness Senior Task Force is still to come—after God has sufficiently prepared us!

Let's redeem the time and “occupy” until the King arrives, and be about our Father's business. THE DOOR TO THE GREEN ROOM IS OPENING OUTWARD. Isn't it time to leave? We await the countdown for His call to go on the stage in God's new RESET. “Behold, I [Jesus] make all things new” (Revelation 21:3-5).

When we finally leave our Green Room permanently to resume the stage of our influence before the King arrives, we will have to take our stand for the Christian Faith courageously or else slink away as cowards. No middle ground, my fellow senior saints! What better counsel can we have than from Jesus' own lips, (Luke 21:28 AMP) “Now when these things begin to occur, stand tall and lift up your heads [in joy], because [suffering ends as] your redemption is drawing near.”
